About 70 people attended the 2021 summer picnic and meeting of the Foster's Pond Corporation. It was the 16th annual FPC picnic (which would have been held in 2020 but for the COVID-19 pandemic).

With many residents feeling the sting of months-long enforced separation due to the pandemic, the event took on a celebratory feeling, with people staying as long as possible to enjoy the company of friends and neighbors. The picnic, with sunny skies to match the disposition of those attending, was held at the home of David Adilman and his daughter Olivia, 15 Foster's Pond Road.

FPC President Steve Cotton called the formal meeting to order at 3:0 p.m. He thanked David and Olivia, the officers and directors of the Corporation, and the area residents who have volunteered on behalf of the Foster's Pond community. He particularly thanked Scott Fumicello for his work on the Dam, Will Weightman and Dave Workman for the equipment they loaned to the project, and the volunteers who lugged 15 tons of stone to the site. He also thanked John Lugus and Al Barber for monitoring the Pond's water clarity for potential blooms of blue-green algae.

Steve gave a brief report on the weed treatment of the Mill Reservoir for fanwort, contingency plans for the treatment of blue-green algae, and the requirement for a safety inspection of the Dam later in the year.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
