First, since I want to review what we did in 2010, I'll mention another invader.

We detected this one, spiny naiad, for the first time in our 2009 survey.  We found it in only two locations, and we spot-treated those locations with a contact herbicide - diquat (sold under the brand name Reward).  It appears that we got it under control, but all of these invaders can be persistent, so only time will tell.
