About 60 people attended the 2012 summer picnic and meeting of the Foster's Pond Corporation.

The event was held at the home of David Carraher and Ana Schliemann, 34 Foster's Pond Road. It was the 8th annual FPC picnic.

FPC President Steve Cotton called the formal meeting to order at 3:15 p.m. He thanked David and Ana, and welcomed residents who had recently moved to the Foster's Pond area.

Dave Brown gave the Treasurer's Report.

Steve reported on the results of algae tests. He said that because of the concentrations of blue-green algae,and public health experts were advising that the Pond be closed for swimming. He said that the Corporation would be looking into treatment options.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
