About 50 people attended the 2018 summer picnic and meeting of the Foster's Pond Corporation. It was the 14th annual FPC picnic.

The event was held at the home of John and Judy Lugus, 2 White Oak Drive.

FPC President Steve Cotton called the formal meeting to order at 3:10 p.m. He thanked John and Judy, the officers and directors of the Corporation, and the area residents who have volunteered on behalf of the Foster's Pond community.

Steve gave a brief report on this Summer's weed treatments for spiny naiad and fanwort. He thanked volunteers who have been taking readings for water clarity and collecting water samples to monitor algae in the Pond, and reported that the Pond would be treated for blue-green algae on August 23. looking for warning signs of an algae bloom.
