Notes:
It took a lot of volunteers, and a lot of back-breaking work, to fix the dam. Just to fill that cavern in the spillway took about two tons of concrete, which had to be mixed by hand.
Then we had to excavate behind the granite "wing walls" to expose the bottom of the sinkholes. Some of this could be done with equipment, some had to be done by hand.
The star of this show was Scott Fumicello, our resident mason and landscaper, for whom we have so much to thank for restoring and maintaining the dam.
