Notes:
Welcome to the 72nd Annual Meeting of the FPC. Well, it would be the 72d if there had been one every year, but this IS a long-standing organization with a venerable tradition. And since we became a tax-exempt, charitable organization in 2005, taking on the role of a steward of Foster's Pond, we've been establishing some new traditions of our own.
Intro of officers: Lynne Whitefield, VP; Dave Brown, Treas; Jante Kenney, Secy; Directors: Dave Adilman, Steve Ellis, Amy Janovsky, Kemper Mazzarelli, and Marty Rabinowitz. They've volunteered their time - we're an all-volunteer organization - and I'll be thanking more volunteers as the evening progresses.
My plan tonight is to give a brief introduction, for the benefit of new folks in the Foster's Pond community, to the purposes of the FPC, then briefly look back at what we did in 2010. We'll have reports on the dam and on weeds, and we'll have an update on the resurfacing of Foster's Pond and Pomery Roads. I'll also bring you up to date on the Conservation Commission's acquisition of two parcels of shorefront land, as well as some other land preservation prospects that are in the works.
We'll leave time at the end for New Business -whatever folks want to discuss. And then a few of members were kind enough to share some of their prize pictures, so we'll wind this session up with a brief photo display.
It's always nice to know our neighbors, so I'm going to start by asking people to introduce themselves, and just say what street you live on.
